How long it takes

Managed hosting

Fast servers in Europe with a content network edge in Lagos, SSL, business email on your domain and monitoring around the clock. Included in every monthly plan and available on its own for sites we did not build.

Backups and restores

A full backup every day kept for thirty days, stored away from the server, and restored on request, usually within the hour on business days. Before any update, another backup, so there is always a way back.

Updates

WordPress, theme and plugin updates applied monthly on Care and weekly on Care Plus, tested on a staging copy first, with a short report of what changed and anything we chose not to update and why.

Security

A firewall, malware scanning, login protection and rate limiting on day one. If something gets through, we clean it, close the way in and tell you what happened.

A short look at the theme, plugins and email on the current host, and a written list of what moves and what needs cleaning up first.

02

Days 2 to 3

Copy, test, switch

The site is copied to the new hosting and tested there; the domain switches at night so visitors see the old site until the moment they see the new one.

03

Day 3 onward

Care starts

Backups, updates, monitoring and a person on WhatsApp from the day the site moves. The first monthly report arrives on the first business day of the next month.

How we do it

Close to your customers, not to us

Where a server sits decides how long a page takes to arrive. Ours are in Europe for reliability, with a content network edge in Lagos so the files your customers download come from nearby. The result is a load time under two seconds on Lagos mobile data on every site we host, and it is the reason we do not put clients on cheap shared hosting abroad, however tempting the price.

Boring on purpose

Good hosting is invisible. Updates are tested before they touch your site, backups run whether or not anyone remembers, monitoring alerts us within a minute of a problem, and most incidents are fixed before the client hears about them. You get a monthly note that says what was updated and that the backups worked. That is the whole point.

A person, not a ticket queue

When something looks wrong, you message Chioma on WhatsApp and a real person replies, usually within the hour on business days. If a site is down, we start the same business day, on any plan. The care plans exist for businesses that need the hosting handled and want to know who to call.

You need this when

  • You have no idea when your site was last backed up, or whether it was.
  • You are afraid to press "update" because last time it broke something.
  • Your host is a company abroad with a ticket system and a nine-hour time difference.
  • Your site has been hacked once already.

What it costs

Hosting and care are included in every monthly plan from ₦15,000 a month. For a site we did not build, Care is ₦10,000 a month (hosting, SSL, email, monthly updates and backups, quarterly speed check) and Care Plus is ₦18,000 (weekly updates, two content changes a month, monthly speed check). Migration from your current host is included and happens overnight. A plugin clean-up before migration, where needed, is quoted after the audit.

Questions about this service

Yes, after a short audit. Most sites need a plugin clean-up first, which we quote.

Europe with a content network edge in Lagos, so pages load from nearby for Nigerian visitors.

Monitoring alerts us within a minute. Most incidents are fixed before the client notices; you get a note explaining what happened.

No. The switch happens at night, after the copy has been tested on the new hosting, and nobody sees a gap.

Within the hour on business days, and the same day at weekends. Backups are kept for thirty days, so a problem noticed a fortnight later can still be undone.

Yes. We change only the website records on the domain. Email stays where it is unless you ask us to move it.

What to have ready before the call

Rough notes and phone photos are enough to start. The launch date in your quote counts from the day we have them.
  • The name of your current host and a login, or the person who has one.
  • Your domain registrar login, or the person who has it.
  • A list of email addresses on the domain, so none is lost in the move.
  • Anything on the site you know is fragile.

“I could not have paid for a website all at once. On the monthly plan it was live in a week. When I change my prices I send a WhatsApp, and it is done the same day.”
